google indexingOf all the questions I get asked, both directly and via the various forums that I actively participate in, this is the most common.

So, you have set up a new site, added some content, made it look reasonably presentable, but still you are not appearing in Google, Bing, Yahoo etc.  How can you get it indexed fast?

First, one thing not to bother with.  Search Engine submission forms.  They are useless.   Ignore.  The good news is that Google will follow all links eventually so as long as you have a link or two from other sites you will be indexed.  But the bad news is it can be slow, unless the site pointing to you has a very high page rank.

Getting a site indexed fast

Fortunately there is a sure-fire way to get your site indexed.  Its a tool I was told about a year ago, and it is still almost unknown.

This tool is invaluable.  I use it for every new site I create, and the site is always indexed within a few days.  I don’t know how, but it works.  And its free and totally without sign-up, so you cant receive any “reconstituted tinned meat products”, if you know what I mean.

The tool is:  http://woothy.com/domain_indexer/

All you need to do is enter your URL in the first box, then select the total number of submissions.  I leave 5 in the first box, and set the second to 100.

Make sure the pop-up blocker is off, then just hit the button and wait.  It takes 20 minutes or so and is 100% automated.

Go and have a coffee while it works because your desktop will be cluttered with lots of windows (it will close them when it finished submitting).

If you want a more guaranteed way, there are some great Gigs on Fiverr.com that will do it.  I’ve used this one and its fantastic. Get your site indexed in 24 hours.  SEO Agencies charge a lot of money for this.  Don’t pay their huge fees when you can get the same thing for $5 or even for free.

  1. great tips from a great site

  2. Just found your site – and this thread – while surfing around in search of new SEO methods. It is a constant process to improve my knowledge 🙂 Thanks for the link but would you mind to tell us how it works, what it does etc because there is no information on the website itself. Thanks Adu

    • Sure. And thanks for the thanks!

I admit I was a bit sceptical at first, but it certainly does seem to work, and for a site that doesnt need any signup, email address or forms to complete, its amazingly effective.

seo.woothy pings lots of specialist “valuations” sites that provide you with an estimate of your site value, based upon factors such as Alexa and Google pagerank to estimate traffic. If your site is new then it won’t appear to have any value, so it is listed on their page as a new site. These valuation sites are themselves regularly indexed, so the fact that you pinged them means your site benefits from the link back to it.

Easy to do and it works, at least for a kick-start.

      Any thoughts?

      • I just did it. Took only 8 mins doing it on my phone. Now I’m searchable!!! Thank you!! Am spreading the word.

  3. This link didn’t work for me. Am I doing something wrong here? I’m getting a 500 error when I click the link

    • Hi Michelle. Yes, you are right. I noticed that the seo.woothy.com site isnt working a couple of days ago.

Unfortunately as the site is nothing to do with me, and I don’t know how to contact the owner, there is nothing I can do. I’m hoping that whoever runs that site notices soon and goes in to fix it. After all he must be losing some advert revenue.

Does anyone know of an seo.woothy.com equivalent in the meantime?

      • I have seen that the woothy site is back online again, but with a slightly different URL. I have updated the article above so it is correct again.

The tool seems to work just as well as before and it remains free.
